What should I wear?
Please visit the "Attire" page for details and inspiration. This wedding is an all black formal theme!
Are children allowed to attend?
Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate children this weekend. We would love for you to view this night as a date night! If there is an exception it will say so on your invitation.
Can I bring a +1?
Please do not bring beyond the count that is written on your invitation to ensure that we can stick to our budget! If there is an exception it will say so on your invitation.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
No! We have hired a professional photographer for the ceremony who will capture all the pictures needed for your hearts desire and ours! At any other time during the day pictures are highly encouraged! We would be delighted to see the day from your point of view.
Will it be inside or outside?
All events will be outside! Early October in Tallahassee is mild. We are expecting temperatures to be in the mid 70's during the day and high 60's once the sun sets. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be outside in different areas of the park.
What kind of food will we be eating?
The cocktail hour will include a grazing table featuring a selection of imported and domestic cheeses, cured meats,
seasonal fruit, along with many other selections of gourmet foods. As tempting as it will be, don't fill yourselves up!
For dinner, we will have four different stations set up around the reception area. The menu at each station will be a surprise, but we can promise that you will not go hungry.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 973 Indigo Creek Way, Tallahassee, FL 32301. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
What time should I arrive to the venue?
Alfred B. Mclay Gardens State Park is a nice sized garden venue. We recommend arriving up to 30 min. before the start of the ceremony. This will ensure you enough time to park, walk through the garden, and pick a desirable seat for the ceremony.
What time will your reception end? Is there an after-party?
The evening will end between 9:30pm-9:45pm. The garden requires everyone to be out by 10:00pm, with no exceptions. There will not be an after-party. We are not night owls, and will be ready to enjoy each other's company after the day is completed.
Where should we eat while we're in town?
On our "Things to Do" page we have listed some of our favorite places to eat in the Tallahassee, and Thomasville area. If you end up checking them out, let us know what you think!
When should we RSVP by?
We will need all responses back by Thursday, September 5, 2024. This will ensure that we have appropriate time to finalize head counts with the many vendors participating in our special day.
What if we can't come?
Although we will miss your presence, we understand not everyone will be able to attend. Please RSVP regardless letting us know you won't be able to make it.
I have more questions about the wedding! Who should I contact?
