In loving memory.. Jerry passed on 12/8/2019. He loved his two daughters deeply. Some of his passions were traveling, and anything to do with the outdoors. He loved the state of North Carolina and would spend any chance he got at his house in Montreat. He loved to hike, ride bicycles, swim, and run - often long distances. He had a special affinity for old cars, antique radios, and building bikes from the ground up. He also had a special place in his heart for the people of Central and South America. He had been learning Spanish diligently and went on multiple trips to Latin America on missions with his church, and some personal adventures. There will be a set aside time during the reception to remember him and his life.

A mother is never just a mother, but a lifelong friend. Heidi is a voice of guidance and a solid place to land for her daughters. Heidi is a prayer warrior and has spent countless hours praying over Mackenzie. While Mackenzie was a child, she would pray for the man her daughter would be married to one day. She loves being with her family, going for long walks, and spending time in her garden (she has a beautiful yard and quite the green thumb). She is a fabulous cook, and loves the Lord deeply. Heidi will always be the first person willing to help anyone in need. She has a heart for others that shines brightly.

Eleni is Harrison's mother and is full of life! She is an ordained minister and loves her Lord Jesus Christ. She is a very hard worker and works for Todd King's Heating and Cooling. She lives down by the coast at Shell Point and loves being outside. She is a frequenter of yoga on the beach, laying by the pool, and loves her water aerobics. She loves her four children, Harrison, Colbi, Starr, and Keegan, and her two dogs, Gracie and Trixie.

Todd is Harrison's father and one of Harrison's closest friends. They work side by side together at his company, Todd King's Heating and Cooling. Todd loves the Lord, his wife and his four kids. Todd and Eleni own a beautiful Sea-Hunt and enjoy taking their boat out for either a fishing trip or just a leisure ride. Todd is a voice of reason and a soft place to land for Harrison. He is a comforter and seems to know just what to say when you're struggling.

These two may be sisters, but their bond is something special. Through thick and thin, the good times and the bad, they have always had each other to rely on. They both have been each others shoulder to cry on, and a place to come to with joyful celebration. Lydia loves marine life, and all animals in general. She is also one of the funniest people you will get the chance to meet. She is kindhearted and will go out of her way for the people she loves. To know Lydia is to love her.

Courtney and Mackenzie have been long time friends. Their mothers were friends while pregnant, attending Bible Study Fellowship together. They love to shop together, create fun/new outfits together, but most of all they enjoy their deep meaningful conversations - usually around all things Biblical and spiritual. Courtney is a rock for Mackenzie and a voice of tenderness and understanding. She is full of love and grace. Their friendship has continued over time and they grow closer and closer as they chase Jesus wholeheartedly together.

Mackenzie was in 7th grade when she prayed for a best friend. Then she met Jordan. They only lived in the same town for two years before Jordan's family relocated to Charlotte, NC where she still calls home. Many summers were spent together in NC at Jerry's Montreat house. It was a place they were able to come together and share life while living apart. Jordan is a P.A. specialized in dermatology, and Mackenzie's personal Dr. Distance may be between them, but the love they have for one another has kept them close for over 14 years.

Sydney and Mackenzie met at Lifepoint church back in summer of 2020. The love of the Lord brought them together and keeps them close. They are shopping buddies, and love worshiping the Lord together. Sydney is the worship leader at Lifepoint and has a voice that makes angels sing!! She is a faithful and loyal friend. She’ll be by your side through the good times and the bad. She is the life of any party and will glady bust out her hip-hop skills whenever the music is right.

Sarah Allen and Mackenzie have been family friends since Mackenzie was born. Their personal friendship started back in 2011 when they attended New Covenant church in Thomasville, GA together. Sarah is a talented writer and extremely intelligent with a beautiful brain. She took Mackenzie under her wing while she was in high school. She helped her with the art of writing and it is a passion Mackenzie has kept since. Sarah works for an inner healing ministry in Tallahassee that quite literally transforms lives through the power of Christ. They both attend Lifepoint church together and love spending time together whenever time allows.

Rachel P. was Mackenzie's first friend when she transferred to a public school back in 2011. She sat behind Mackenzie in an AP Art History class and made plans to spend their lunch hour together one afternoon. After that lunch there was no going back. Both being introverts, they really "got" each other. Some things between friends don't need to be said but are understood without words. That sentiment encompasses a lot of their friendship. Rachel is a loyal friend and is always the first to go out of her way for someone she loves. They have been close friends through high school, college, and now into adult life.

Rachel M. and Mackenzie became friends back in 2015 when they met at Buckle. Going into their junior year of school they decided to move in together while attending FSU. Soon after, they left Buckle and went on to serve together at a private club at FSU's stadium. Nothing brings people together quite like being college roommates and constant coworkers. She is an AA (anesthesiologist assistant) in Jacksonville, FL. Rachel brings life into any room she walks into and is innately funny. She can make you laugh without even trying. They have remained friends through their adult life and see each other whenever they can!

Bri and Mackenzie became friends through a high-school ex-boyfriend. (Not all ending romances leave us empty!) They were close in 8th and 9th grade. After some time of disconnection they were reconnected at a college party back in 2019. Since then they have remained close friends, and share their hearts and life struggles with one another. They have supported one another through times of loss and times of celebration. Although Bri is outwardly beautiful, her looks can't compare to how beautiful her heart is. She has a heart of gold and is always there for her friends.

Ashley and Mackenzie met back in 2015 at Buckle. Mackenzie was walking through the mall, applying for jobs hiring for holiday. At the time, Ashley was the Assistant Manager. She quickly saw her walking by the store front and pulled her in. The connection was instant and was destined to become more than a boss/employee relationship. Throughout the years of working together they have built a friendship that is bound to last a lifetime. Few employer relationships transcend to something more, but Ashley has been a source of career and personal mentorship for Mackenzie for years.

Colbi is Harrison's younger sister. She is a woman full of life and full of love for the Lord. If you ever need someone to brighten up your day, joy spills out of Colbi and is contagious. She hosts a radio show on a Christian radio station in Jacksonville, FL. She also loves to surf and has taken her passion into a lifestyle and serves on the board of Christian Surfers. She travels to other countries on mission trips and shares the love of Jesus while teaching the locals the art of surf.

Keegan is Harrison's youngest brother. They work together for their father's business, Todd King's Heating and Cooling. Brothers are something special where they are always there for each other even when the jokes are flying. Keegan is a hard worker and is a service technician for the company. He is easy to love and makes his family proud.

Starr is Harrison's middle brother. As with Keegan, brothers are something special. Starr is a jokester, and the two of them together can give their mom and dad a run for their money! Starr lives in Jacksonville, FL and loves to surf with his sister, Colbi. He is extremely intelligent, dedicated, and is pursuing a career in medical sales.

Austin met Harrison at Lifepoint. They call each other just about every morning, pray together, and update each other on their lives. They also share the love of the outdoors. Both men enjoy anything to do with hunting. During the season, you can find them together in the woods or practicing their turkey calls (and annoying their wives with it.) Austin is also a heck of a cook. Harrison and Mackenzie enjoy eating the wild game at the Pollock's house whenever they all get together.

Paul and Harrison met at Lifepoint church in Tallahassee. These two men quickly became close like brothers. Paul loves the Lord and loves Harrison. He has been there for Harrison in good times and bad. He is a faithful friend. They hold one another accountable in their walk with the Lord and are honest with each other in their life and struggles. Paul will be getting married the weekend following our wedding and Harrison will of course be standing by his side.

Phillip and Harrison became friends at Lifepoint. They love to joke back and forth and make each other laugh. They’re truly a joy to each other. Phillip is the youth pastor at Lifepoint and loves the Lord with all of his heart. He has a Godly childlike spirit and is a person easy to open up to and to love.

Ben and Harrison met at Lifepoint Church. They both love the Lord and enjoy each others company. Ben and Harrison both learned to turkey hunt together and have gone to hunt on Ben's property in Tallahassee. Ben is also a chiropractor in town and will semi-frequently set Harrison straight when he is out of joint! (Maybe literally and figuratively.)

Justin and Harrison met at Lifepoint Church. Justin is a father of five, a hard worker around his homestead, and owns his own air-condition company. He is a voice of reason and role-model for Harrison - personally, and professionally. Justin loves the Lord and has the gift of teaching others. Harrison has benefited from Justin's wisdom in their mutual industry, and in their mutual love for Jesus.
